GAPTAR ethical principles

The Georgian Association of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation (GAPTAR) expects physical therapists to:

Respect the rights and dignity of all individuals who seek physical therapy services;

Uphold the highest standards set forth by the profession;

Exercise sound professional judgment while abiding by legal and ethical requirements;

Act in a compassionate and trustworthy manner in all aspects of physical therapy services;

Respect values, beliefs, and cultures;

Strive to relate to other professionals with respect and integrity in order to promote the best interests of the patient;

Contribute to the efforts to meet physical therapy and health care needs of local, national, and global community.
